Product Designer

We’re building our early team and are looking for a product designer who can take ownership and work on a wide variety of tasks. You will work closely with the Product lead and the founders.

You will champion the creative showcasing of Zenskar's capabilities and collaborate closely with the founders.

Your primary roles and responsibilities will evolve over time as the team grows. These will include:

Work with founders, to understand business objectives and customer insights

Work with teams from product, engineering and design to co-create the product for early customers

Prepare wireframes, mockups, and prototypes to take ideas from inception to execution

Confidently communicate and influence design decisions while welcoming cross-functional collaboration

Drive user research to identify problems and experiment with solutions; inform the product roadmap by advocating for user needs

Assist in developing and maintaining Zenskar’s visual identity, while also ensuring consistency across all collateral.

Utilize design principles to arrange text, images, and other graphical elements in an aesthetically pleasing and visually balanced manner, ensuring readability and effective communication.

Maintain a well-organized digital asset library, ensuring all design files are properly labeled, version-controlled, and easily accessible for team members.

Understand design requirements, incorporate feedback, and deliver high-quality visual assets within specified deadlines.

2+ years relevant experience (Product design, UI/UX design)

Ability to turn complex design problems into beautiful, intuitive solutions

Experience in creating micro-interactions

Detail oriented and self-driven individual with high ownership and strong work ethic

Entrepreneurial mindset; enjoys working with a fast-paced team

Not taking yourself too seriously :)

Portfolio that shows your creativity, process, and grasp of product design fundamentals

Work efficiently and finds ways to deliver results in tight turnarounds

Aesthetic appeal - you have an eye for beautiful designs / visuals

Excellent communication skills; aptitude to articulate, defend and critique design choices

Proficiency in standard creative software (e.g., Figma, Adobe XD, Adobe suite); ingenuous to use unfamiliar tools to hack together a solution when needed

Additional skills (good to have)

Basic understanding of Frontend principles and modern web technologies modern web technologies (such as Tailwind CSS, React) to work with the team from an engineering point of view

Experience in startup environments; being able to work in a fast-paced environment with lots of ambiguity

Product design experience in enterprise SaaS.
