Work closely with our design systems UX Lead to enhance and expand the team's design system, ensuring accessible, consistent design patterns and experiences across our platforms
Use fundamental principles of visual design (hierarchy, progressive disclosure, typography, grid, color systems, proximity), HCI best practices, and established usability principles and guidelines to create industry leading UI and components
Communicate designs for successful development through annotations, redlining, and interactive prototypes to demonstrate detailed product interactions
Explain and present your work, with thorough context, in a well-structured way which promotes the design thinking process and grows the UX maturity of teams
Articulate user, business, and technical needs and craft persuasive, strategic artifacts (wireframes, user flows, journey maps, service blueprints, etc.) to communicate journeys, highlight areas of improvement, build buy-in, and focus teams
Facilitate discussions and workshops with cross-functional stakeholders around the key problems to be solved to ensure aligned delivery against project objectives, to explain process and/or reasoning, and to identify assumptions, hypotheses, and key questions for larger discovery efforts
Manage requirements, plan, and schedule work to prioritize and maximize the efficiency of delivery using agile best practices
Act as a trustworthy partner, delivering work on time across multiple projects, workstreams, stakeholders, and phases in the design process.
3+ years of experience in Product Design and/or product-oriented UX roles on cross-functional teams
1+ years of experience on a Design Systems team
BA/BS or MA/MS in design, HCI, or related field (or equivalent experience)
Previous domain experience in Healthcare, Public Health, Wellbeing, and/or Fitness preferred
Ability to evaluate current skillset, industry trends, and best practices to define future areas of learning and growth
Fluency in user-centered design methodology, design thinking and workshop facilitation – and you’re always looking to improve and grow
Experienced using Figma, Jira, and other similar operational tools and systems
Generalist UX chops with expertise in visual and interaction design
Excellent written and spoken communicator able to present design decisions in a clear and compelling way
A highly organized, natural collaborator who loves bringing others along in the design thinking process, and effectively manages timelines across projects in different stages of development
A deep appreciation and talent for simple solutions to complex problems
Adept and nimble at learning new domains, technologies, and processes
The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, agile environment, while also leading process improvement efforts.
